Atlanta’s Best Self-Serve Dog Wash Stations

You take your dog out for a fun day   outside. Maybe he found a mud puddle. Maybe he rolled in something he was very proud of. You are tired from a long day at work, and now you are staring at a dog who needs a bath before he touches your couch.

If you live in Atlanta,  you know this moment well. You want your dog to run, dig, sniff, and play hard. That is what a full life looks like. But a full life outside often means a dirty dog at the door, and you do not always have the time or energy for a full bath at home.

We understand. At Praline’s Backyard Dog Services, we have spent six years walking, playing with, and caring for dogs across Atlanta. We know what a tired, happy, muddy dog looks like, because we help make dogs that way every day through private walks with tailored enrichment. We also know that busy, loving dog parents need real answers, not more guilt. So we put together a list of the best self-serve dog wash stations near you. No appointment stress, no guesswork, just clean information from people who know this city and its dogs.

Atlanta’s Top Self-Serve Dog Wash Stations

Dog Wash Atlanta, Kirkwood Located inside Kirkwood Car Wash at 2003 Oakview Rd SE. Two stainless steel tubs are set up right out front, with warm water, shampoo, conditioner, flea and tick spray, and a blow dryer included. If your dog had a big day in Kirkwood or nearby, this is a fast, no appointment stop on the way home.

Highland Pet Supply, Virginia-Highland At 1186 N Highland Ave NE, this neighborhood pet shop has offered a self-serve dog wash for decades. It is a Virginia-Highland staple, tucked into a walkable strip where you can grab supplies and clean up your dog in the same stop.

The Clean Dog, Inman Park Found at 715 Edgewood Ave NE, this do-it-yourself wash station features raised clawfoot tubs, so you are not bending over a low basin or hauling your dog into a tall tub. A nice option if your dog has spent the afternoon exploring Inman Park.

Lucky & Lady, Grant Park area At 975 Memorial Dr SE in the Madison Yards  near Grant Park and Ormewood Park, Lucky & Lady offers a self wash suite with shampoo, conditioner, towels, and a dryer provided. It is part of a full boarding and grooming facility, so you have backup options nearby if you ever need them.

Pet Wants Piedmont, Midtown At 931 Monroe Dr NE, tucked near Ansley Mall and Piedmont Park, Pet Wants Piedmont has self-wash bays available. This spot used to operate as The Whole Dog Market, so longtime Midtown dog parents may know it by that name.

The Spaw at Splootsville, West End At 1534 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW, this West End boutique pairs a thoughtfully curated pet shop with a self-serve wash bay called The Spaw. A good stop if your dog has been exploring the West End side of town and you want to shop local while you are there.

Did We Miss One?

This list reflects what we found across our service neighborhoods, but Atlanta has more dog parents than any of us can keep up with alone. If you know a self-serve wash station we missed, send it our way and we will add it. And if you try one of these spots, we would love to hear how it went, what your dog thought, and whether it made it into your regular rotation.
